One-Month Activity of NA Committee on Study of Substantiation of Gas and Electric Power Functioning Tariffs Summed Up

On November 20, the press conference of the RA NA Deputy Speaker, the Chair of the NA Investigative Committee Created to Study Gas and Electric Power Supply and Activities of Distribution Systems and Substantiation of Gas and Electric Power Functioning Tariffs Mikayel Melkumyan was held.

According to the speaker, on November 19 was one month of the Committee’s activity and it would continue to work according to the term designed by the RA law the NA Rules of Procedure.

The speaker assured  in what spheres the Investigative Committee would study and for what reason the money was spent.

As an economist Mikayel Melkumyan thinks that the negotiations on the gas price reduction on the border shall be continued, as well as the issue on separating the transportation of gas from gas distribution, which is an accepted version in a number of countries.

The NA Deputy Speaker believes that we shall look for the reduction reserves not only in the Electric Networks of Armenia, but also in all producing stations.

According to the Committee Chair, in revealing the relevant reserves it will be possible to reduce the electric power tariff by 3 drams from February 1 of the coming year.
